My version of the mosquito. I use the softer parts of the feather for the hackle and the marabou off the same feather for the tail and wing, this gives the bug some life. I also tie the same pattern with a black feather and make a brown and a white one too, it’s a good generic trout bug.

This is the last fly I invented, I call it The Sack Fry, It’s works pretty well for Sea Run Cutthroat. It’s simple to tie, just use red or pink yarn for the egg sack. The wing is white marabou followed by chartreuse and dark green yarn. I tie those on together then wrap the chartreuse forward to form the head, then lay the extra dark green over the top and finish it. The eye is just a dot from a Sharpie.
