Setting Up 6 Trailcams

Most of my best camera spots required some trimming, these are before and after pictures from the cameras perspective. This camera is going to watch an intersection of two main trails.

This is the tree I chose, before and after

When attaching the camera to the tree I like to cut a small shelf for the camera to sit in, this keeps bears and rutting bucks from messing with the aim, I use a security box on most of my sets to stop bears from chewing them up. I don’t lock them but do tie them shut with a twisty tie because I have had bears figure out how to open the box and chew on the camera.

Here are a couple more before and after pictures, this camera watches another main trail intersection.

This camera watches a funnel where 3 trails come together

This one watches a main trail that follows the top of a small ravine on the left.

I normally don’t set cameras out in the open but I decided to give this intersection of a couple well worn trails a try.

This spot should be really good, 2 main trails come together here and there are a lot of secondary trails and other sign. I think judging by the bare ground that this might be a spot where bucks like to meet to push each other around, we will find out in August.
