This is my #2 favorite new camera spot for 2022. The camera had a moisture problem when I checked it this time so I took it home to dry out but I left the security box tied to a tree and will be putting a camera back at the end of winter.

This is one of my oldest camera locations, it’s always a good place for sparring matches and it’s located in a field of skunk cabbage that is the size of several football fields, and Sitka Blacktails love skunk cabbage.

I’ve been getting pictures at this little odd ball for a few years, I think he’s 4 years old now.

This was a good area for deer, but not the best for a camera because there is nothing to funnel them in front of it, I will probably try one of the trails entering it or paralleling it next year.

I took these cameras home for the winter and will find new homes for them next spring. I left these cameras out, if we get any serious snow I probably won’t be able to check them again until April. Sept. 10 – Oct. 14
The deer are in their winter coats and the bucks are at peak fatness before the rut starts to peak making mostly active at night when the temperatures are at their lowest.
