Setting and Checking Cameras

Set a camera here hoping salmon will swim this far up this stream, and I will catch bears fishing for them in a couple months. There is a well-used animal trail following the bank on the right side of the picture, and another trail crossing the creek by the big rock, so I should getContinue reading “Setting and Checking Cameras”

First Pictures from a New Spot

This spot is a funnel formed by a strip of cover through more open muskeg. This camera is now shooting videos.

Multi-Trail Intersection

A bunch of trails converge here from every direction. There is no obvious reason why all these trails come together here but it funnels the traffic and has been the best place I’ve found to catch the bucks butting heads in preparation for the rut. I included a link at the bottom of this galleryContinue reading “Multi-Trail Intersection”

Skunk Cabbage Patch

I had a camera here a few years ago, until the tree I was using for the camera fell down during a storm. This is the first set of pictures taken since I decided to try this location again. At the bottom of this post, I included a link to an album on my FacebookContinue reading “Skunk Cabbage Patch”

Intersection in a Small Muskeg

Black Bear

I usually don’t set cameras out in the open because there is almost always more traffic back in the jungle. This picture is the same spot as the pictures below, but from the opposite direction; I switched trees for better lighting.

Spring at a Creek Crossing

This is one of my oldest camera locations, I’ve had one here since 2014.

A New Spot

I’m hoping the action at this spot improves with the change of seasons. Several trails come together here and it’s full of beds, but so far it hasn’t produced as well as I expected.

April and May on a Main Trail

This has been a good spot. Last year I recorded videos here.
