Intersections and Mineral Licks

Even though most of the animals that pass by these areas don’t stop to eat dirt, trails converge on them from every direction, so there is constant traffic.

This is a spot where the main trail following a stream intersects with the trails coming out of a funnel crossing the creek.

This is an area where multiple trails came together for no obvious reason, but it gets enough traffic that it is worn down to bare ground. Bucks like to spar in places where they have some smooth ground surrounded by cover, and this spot gets its share.
