I created this little feeding area by chopping down a thicket of 10 foot tall salmonberry and elderberry bushes. This area is also a wide funnel formed by the beach on the left and some steep ravines on the right, my clearing gives the animals a reason to stop by my camera as they pass through.
This was a good spot especially for bears, but the lighting was too challenging for this camera so I moved it. These are the best of about 500 pictures.
I called in this little buck by saying Maaa in the back of my throat. I like to call this way in places that get a lot of hunting pressure and the deer are used to the standard Alaska style deer calls.
This was a good spot for bear, but picture quality sucked so I moved the camera to watch this main trail and the bed under the left side of the big tree.
This cabbage patch was a pretty good spot but I moved it to check out another trail.
This spot was full of 10 foot tall salmon berry bushes and other tall brush that I cut down to create a natural food plot. It’s working pretty well. In this image a wolf is passing through.
I’ve had a camera here for several years, but this is the first video from this spot.
This is another spot I’ve used for a long time, but not continuously.
I moved this camera to the small tree on the right, It’s going to be facing the sun in the afternoons later in the year which could be a problem but it’s cloudy here most of the time and this angle offers a lot better coverage.
My first hunt of the year went pretty well, I saw a lot of deer including to decent bucks, but they both disappeared without offering me a decent shot, the season here lasts 4 months so no hurry.
Set this camera to capture images of bear fishing for salmon, the pink run is just getting started.
I moved this camera a few yards to where it can cover a bigger area, the trail is getting a lot of traffic.
There are a few salmon in this creek now and it should get stuffed with them soon, which means lots of black bear next check.
Picture quality here isn’t very good so I haven’t shared many photos from this spot but I set it here because it’s in a spot I like to hunt and it’s doing really well as a scouting camera.
This is another camera set to catch bears fishing for salmon. I had one blurry picture of a bear with a fish this check, so the run is starting.
I’ve had this camera here for a few years, it’s one of my best spots, last year I had it set for video.
